What the machines actually do
Listing brand names impresses other dentists. What matters to you is what each one changes about your visit.
Dental imaging
Digital X-ray equipment on site, so the image is taken and read during the same appointment rather than sending you to a diagnostic centre.
Autoclave sterilisation
Steam sterilisation under pressure, the standard for clinical instruments. Every reusable instrument goes through it between patients.
Ultrasonic scaler
Vibration rather than scraping, which is why scaling here is described as uncomfortable at worst rather than painful.
Chairside screen
Your X-ray goes on screen next to the chair, and the problem gets pointed at rather than described.
Single-use consumables
Gloves, needles, suction tips, bibs and cups are opened in front of you and discarded afterwards.
Card and UPI at the desk
Credit and debit cards, UPI and Paytm all work here. No trip to an ATM before treatment.
