Practical questions

Requests sent during opening hours are usually called back the same day. Anything arriving after hours or on a Sunday gets picked up the next working morning. If your tooth is hurting now, call rather than waiting for a callback.

An examination, an X-ray if the problem calls for one, and a conversation about what's actually going on. You leave knowing what needs doing, what it costs, and what can wait. Nothing gets treated on the first visit unless you want it to and there's time.

Any previous X-rays or dental records if you have them, and a list of medicines you're currently taking. Blood thinners and diabetes medication in particular change how treatment is planned. Otherwise nothing.

Yes, during opening hours. Booked patients are seen at their slot times, so a walk-in means waiting for a gap. A quick call before setting out usually saves the wait.

Yes, and it's a reasonable thing to ask for. Mention it in the notes field or when you call, and the first appointment can be a conversation with nothing done to your teeth at all. A lot of patients here arrived after years of avoiding it.

The consultation fee covers the examination and diagnosis. Treatment is quoted and charged separately, and you'll hear that figure before anything begins. Ask at the desk how the consultation is handled if treatment goes ahead the same day.
